Eclept, as an end-to-end technology partner, collaborated with a pediatric practice to quickly develop HealthConnect, a telehealth platform focused on providing accessible and convenient care. About HealthConnect: From Focused PoC to Expanding Multi-Specialty Service
HealthConnect originated from a pediatric doctor’s specific goal: to offer more direct, timely, and convenient virtual consultations for parents regarding their children’s non-emergency health concerns, thereby modernizing their practice. Eclept developed the initial platform as a focused Proof of Concept (PoC), engineered from the outset for scalability and cost-effectiveness based on the client’s need for a partner who could bring this vision to life. This foresight allowed HealthConnect to quickly evolve beyond its initial scope. 6 months later, it serves multiple medical specialties and an increasing number of doctors, demonstrating a practical and successful approach to broadening healthcare access through reliable technology. The platform is currently experiencing exponential growth in its user base and consultation volume.

- Rapid PoC Development & Scalability: Delivering a functional and reliable platform swiftly as a Proof of Concept, yet robust enough to handle significant, ongoing expansion in users, doctors, and medical specialties.

Our approach centered on rapidly building a viable Proof of Concept (PoC) for initial validation, followed by iterative enhancements based on client collaboration and user feedback.
- Eclept’s Role & Team: Our dedicated agile team of 3 seasoned fullstack developers plus Delivery Manger managed the project from ideation, UI/UX design, full-stack development, and testing, through to deployment and ongoing scalability consultation.

- Frontend: React for a responsive and intuitive UI.
- Backend: Node.js with Express.js for a robust server-side.
- Database: MongoDB for flexible data storage.
- DevOps & Cloud: Docker and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for scalability and reliability.
- Integrations: Zoom Web SDK and Halkbank payment systems.
- Security: JWT, secure coding practices, GDPR-aligned design.
- Process & Problem Solving: We prioritized features based on client needs and user impact. The chosen scalable architecture included React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Docker, and GCP. Key integrations like Zoom’s Web SDK and Halkbank payments were seamlessly incorporated. Security measures such as JWT, Nodemailer for secure communication, and PM2 for process management were implemented, with Swagger for API documentation.
- Addressing Unexpected Challenges: One notable challenge encountered was that the integration with the designated bank for payment processing took significantly more time than initially anticipated. This was primarily due to delays in responsiveness and the finalization of administrative paperwork and technical support from the bank’s side. True to our agile approach, the Eclept team strategically re-prioritized tasks and shifted development focus towards other critical platform features. This ensured that project momentum was maintained and valuable progress was made in other areas while the banking integration prerequisites were being resolved. Our agile framework allowed us to adapt to such external dependencies efficiently, minimizing overall project disruption.
