Project

Andrea360 is an all-in-one management platform designed for modern gyms and fitness centers. Developed with a focus on automation, scalability, and user experience, it streamlines member management, online booking, access control, and analytics.

Built by our team to support both single-location gyms and growing fitness chains, Andrea360 delivers seamless service and optimizes internal workflows.

How We Built Andrea360: A Full-Stack Fitness Management Platform, In-House and End-to-End

When we set out to build Andrea360, we weren’t just building another SaaS tool — we were solving a real, complex problem in the fitness industry. Gym owners were juggling fragmented tools, outdated software, and manual processes to manage memberships, class bookings, staff, and access control. The experience was clunky for everyone — staff, trainers, and especially gym members.

Andrea360 was built entirely in-house, from product discovery to design, development, deployment, and iteration. Our team handled: backend, frontend, mobile apps, and integrations. This end-to-end approach allowed us to move fast, stay close to users, and create a tightly integrated product that’s now powering gyms across the Balkans.

One Codebase to Rule Them All

Because we were building every piece in-house, we had the luxury and responsibility of choosing the best tech stack for the job.

We built a robust API layer and real-time WebSocket features for things like class booking status and live check-ins. Everything was designed to be extensible, so adding integrations (like payment gateways or biometric access systems) didn’t require re-architecting the platform.

    1. Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS
    2. Backend: Java, SpringBoot, Mysql, Amazon MQ, Docker, Keycloak
    3. Mobile: Dart, Flutter, FCM, Firebase Analytics
    4. Infrastructure: AWS (S3, ECR, ECS, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, CloudFront, CodePipeline, CodeBuild), Sentry, ELK Stack

From Zero to Concept: Product Discovery

We started with conversations — lots of them. Gym owners, receptionists, trainers, and members all had pain points, and we mapped out their workflows in detail. Booking classes was a mess. Payments were tracked on paper. Access control systems didn’t talk to the software. CRM? Nonexistent.

These early interviews shaped our product strategy. We knew we didn’t need to build every feature — we needed to build the right ones, in the right order and for the right customers – business owners and managers.

Building for Automation

One of the most exciting outcomes? Andrea360 is already powering fully automated gyms — no front desk, no paper, no friction. Members can sign up online, get instant access via facial recognition, and manage everything through the app.

On the backend, owners see real-time analytics, control multiple locations, and automate sales funnels and retention workflows.

All of this was made possible because we controlled every layer of the product. No bottlenecks, no external dependencies, just fast iteration and full accountability.

What We Learned

Building Andrea360 from the ground up was a masterclass in full-stack product development. A few takeaways we’d share with any team trying to build something similar:

    1. Product thinking comes first. Tech choices only matter when they serve a clearly defined user need.

    2. Design for the edge cases. Your software will be used in chaos — not just in perfect conditions.

    3. Owning the full stack pays off. Yes, it’s more work. But the flexibility and speed it unlocks is worth it.

    4. Your best features will come from your users. The roadmap should evolve with real-world feedback.

Design That Works in the Real World

Designing Andrea360 wasn’t about making things pretty — it was about making things work under pressure. We designed with real-life use in mind: staff clicking fast between screens during peak hours, trainers checking schedules between sessions, and members opening the app while walking into the gym.

Our design team focused on clarity, responsiveness, and modularity. Admin interfaces are optimized for desktop power users, while the mobile app is streamlined for fast actions — booking a class, checking your visit history, or getting notified when your favorite trainer opens a slot. Mobile app is white-labeled, meaning that we can onboard a new client in a matter of days, while giving him fully personalised experience for him and his members.

What’s Next

Andrea360 is now powering over 50 fitness centers across Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Bosnia — and the network is growing rapidly.

To date, the platform has supported the management of 150,000+ active members, who have purchased over 700,000 memberships, generating more than $12 million in revenue for our clients collectively.

We’re continuing to roll out advanced features, expand our hardware integrations, and push forward the vision of a smarter, more connected fitness industry.

If you’re a builder thinking about tackling a vertical SaaS challenge — or a gym looking to modernize — we’d love to share more of what we’ve learned
