Java Backend Engineer

What will you be doing?

 

As a Backend Developer (Java / Spring Boot) at Eclept, you will:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
  • Build and evolve microservice-based architectures
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integrations
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) to design efficient data models
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and maintainability
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, Keycloak)
  • Containerize applications using Docker and support CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to deploy and monitor services
  • Analyze requirements, estimate effort and contribute to technical planning
  • Participate in code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using logging and monitoring tools

 

 

You will stand out if you have:

  • 1–5 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer (Java)
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience working with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture
  • Experience with Docker and containerized applications
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing practices
  • Experience with authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Keycloak)
  • Working knowledge of Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Grafana, Sentry)
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in distributed teams
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have:

  • Experience with multi-tenant systems
  • Experience with Kubernetes
